Independence House – the only comprehensive community-based organization on Cape Cod providing free and confidential specialized services and widespread programs for children (ages 5+), teens, adults and the later-in-life community who are survivors of, or impacted by domestic or sexual violence.

Each program is designed to have maximum impact on the many issues Veterans and active-duty Military face. We provide solutions that make a long- lasting, life-changing difference for these brave men and women. The MMSF supports the Joint Base Cape Cod Empowerment Center.

The organization provides opportunities for students to develop personal, workplace, and technical skills through workforce readiness curriculum, hands-on experiences, competitions, and community service. The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) has responded to the needs of animals and the people who care about them for over 120 years. With over 1,000 dedicated volunteers and 100 staff members, ARL lends unwavering support to local animals, families, and neighborhoods. We provide outstanding veterinary care , adoption , and field services . We also confront the root causes of animal cruelty and neglect through special police investigation and advocacy aimed at strengthening the laws that protect animals.
The Family Pantry is a non-profit, non-denominational organization, staffed by over 650 volunteers, a full time executive director, warehouse manager and thrift store manager along with a part time office manager, assistant store manager and program manager. The main Pantry is housed in a large warehouse on Queen Anne Road in Harwich MA and in 2016 the Pantry expanded to include the Healthy Meals in Motion Mobile Pantry,serving the lower Cape. The Family Pantry runs a satellite pantry on the Cape Cod Community College Campus where students, staff, faculty and day care parents are served and welcomed. The Family Pantry partners with the Greater Boston Food Bank and acts as a cross dock facility for the 28 pantries/soup kitchens on the Cape and Islands. Each month an additional four tractor trailer loads of food are brought to the Pantry and distributed to the various pantries across the Cape.
