Brewster in Bloom – Parade & Social – Sunday May 7th, 2023

10:00AM – Breakfast at Bill Scott’s place, Brewster

12:00PM – Staging for Parade, City Town Offices

1:00-2:00PM – Parade

2:30PM – 4:30PM Lunch at Lost Dog Pub, Dennis

Register for the event.

When you register, you will also be asked if you and your guests are attending the activity, which is lunch at Lost Dog Pub, Dennis.  Please make sure to complete the registration.

For those off-Cape or from Upper Cape, there will be a group tour led by Tony & Zita Caputo on Rt 6A from Sandwich to Brewster.  Gather at 9:00 at the Sandwich Stop & Shop parking lot in Merchants Square, across the street from the old BBC on the canal side at the stop light.  Group leaves at 9:15 AM SHARP.

You can join the group  #149 Old Barnstable Train Station.  Group will make a brief stop around 9:30AM and leave at 9:45AM SHARP.

Everyone else should make their own way to the Scott house and arrive between 10 – 10:30 AM.

Once there, we all can relax and enjoy a breakfast/brunch out on the sunny deck, sip a Mimosa and enjoy the morning before we head out on a short drive to stage the cars for the parade at the Town Hall Driveway very near to the Scott house. Staging begins at 11:00 and we will be there around 12:00 and the parade starts at 1:00 – Parade theme this year is “Honoring Hometown Heroes”, however we have just put flowers, flags and club decals on the cars in the past. There are some flowers available but we are getting low. If you would like to bring your own artificial flowers, please do.  We don’t do it for a parade prize anyway, just for fun.

Traditionally we continue beyond the end of the parade route to Luke’s parking lot and remove the flags and club decals. We then head to a late lunch at The Lost Dog Pub in Dennis at around 2:15/ 2:30 PM.

Hopefully you have decided to attend this event and you will register that you’re coming.   It doesn’t cost anything (except for your lunch), but we need to know how many cars and people are attending, both for the parade and the restaurant. If you haven’t registered, do it now so we have a complete number.
