Common problems related to engine heat include vapor lock and overheating brake and clutch fluids.

Fuel lines in the engine bay are quite susceptible to excessive heat, which can boil the fuel in the line, causing bubbles and uneven fuel delivery.

Brake fluid is more likely overheated at the brake calipers.  However, the fluid in brake/clutch lines can be elevated by engine heat.

There is a simple solution in the market to shield fluid lines in the engine bay: Thermal Sleeves.

Thermal Sleeves are silicone / rtv coated fiberglass tubes. The fiberglass provides the heat protection while the silicone/rtv provides flame protection. They are fabricated in different diameters to fit over any hose or line requiring thermal protection.

The Sleeves can be slipped over existing fluid lines and held in place with clamps/ties.  See image.

They are readily available online via Amazon/eBay and various Auto Parts distributors.
