EVENT BACKGROUND:

March Motor Madness was started near the beginning of CCBCC to pay tribute to the wives and SOs of our members. It was designed as a “Nice Night Out for the Wives.”  To recognize their contribution and patience to our mostly male members.  It is also a fun social get-together to celebrate the end of Winter, the arrival of Spring, and our hope to get our cars back out as quickly as possible.

The CCBCC is holding this fun event once again,  March Motor Madness 2025.

It will be a great event to see friends, meet new members, and have a ton of fun, all before the driving season starts up.

Yankee Swap is back – Participation is voluntary at $25.00 PER PERSON. No joke gifts, please.

Come one, come all – a great time to be had by everyone!

EVENT LOGISTICS:

• Date: March 29th
• Time:  5:00PM-9:00PM.
• Venue: Iris Hotel Cape Cod (formerly Holiday Inn), Falmouth
• Food:  a delicious dinner is being prepared
  • Charcuterie Board with artisanal cheeses, charcuterie meats, fruit, vegetable crudite and all accompaniments/garnishes.
  • Panzanella Salad
  • Herb Marinated Chicken
  • Braised Beef Short Ribs
  • Baked New England Cod
  • Roasted Fingerling potatoes
  • Roasted tri-color Carrots
• Bar: cash bar available
• Activities: Yankee Swap – bring a useful wrapped gift for under $25.  Each person with a gift will get a ticket to participate. The more gifts, the more people participate, the more fun.

Help Joe replace the rear springs on a MGB.

Will meet at Joe’s garage on April 2, 9:00AM – 12:00PM.

Should be an in treating morning for everyone as we replace rear springs on both sides.

CCBCC Team Day at Habitat of Cape Cod.

Come on out on April 10th, Thursday for the day and help shingle (siding)a Habitat of Cape Cod house at Jack Delaney Lane, Dennis, MA.

The CCBCC Team would start at 7:45 AM and end between 2 PM – and 3:15 PM.  The end time will be finalized with the Director of Construction well before our team day arrives.

There can be a max of 12 volunteers attend.

We will be shingling the siding exterior of the homes at Jack Delaney Lane. Habitat will teach us the necessary skills to accomplish the task and participants will only do what they are comfortable with.😊 There is a site supervisor and a team of experienced volunteers to work with us. Please keep in mind this is a construction site and there are uneven surfaces (not landscaped).

Registration is closed as we have the maximum number of participants.

Each participant will be contacted by email on next steps.

Join us for Cars & Coffee at Cape Cod Coffee, Rt 130 Mashpee.

We’ll start at 8:30A, finish at 10:30A.  Hopefully this will allow off-Cape people to beat the bridge traffic both ways.

Come whenever you can, leave whenever you want.

Vehicle Safety Inspection, 9:00AM – 1:00PM

Get prepared for the driving season with a safety review on and off lift.

Bring your car to Mike’s Garage and get it on the lift for a detailed inspection.

Breakfast in Brewster – Social & Cruise – Sunday May 4th, 2025

In the past, the CCBCC would meet at Bill & Mary’s home in Brewster for breakfast, and then we would take part in the Brewster in Bloom Parade.

This year, we are making some changes:

We will NOT take part in the parade, BUT….. we will still have breakfast in Brewster and Mary & Bill have graciously offered to host, again.

Plan to be in Brewster at Bill & Mary’s at 9:00AM.

After breakfast, we will drive to the Marconi-RCA Radio Museum in Chatham.

And then continue on to Wellfleet on back roads and do lunch at the Bookstore Restaurant.

Annual Meeting at Iris Hotel Cape Cod, Falmouth:  SAVE THE DATE, May 17, 2025

The club’s Annual Meeting is scheduled for May 17, 2025, 10:00 AM at Iris Hotel Cape Cod (formerly Holiday Inn), Falmouth, MA.

Timeline for the day:  Annual Meeting:  9:30AM – 11:00AM

Holiday Inn has graciously provided excellent accommodations, coffee and refreshments for the Annual Meeting.

Please come early for breakfast at 8:30AM.  Breakfast buffet, same as Membership meetings, ~$20.00 to be paid by attendees.

The CCBCC by-laws require we meet annually for the election of officers and any open positions on the Board of Governors as well as for the transaction of any other business requiring a vote of the membership.  In advance of the meeting, club members will be sent a letter from Bill Scott, Chairman of Nominating Committee, with information about the meeting.

A listing of candidates running for officer positions and for vacant positions on the Board of Governors will be made available.

A link will be placed here for candidates and their short biographies.

Only a current paid-up individual member in good standing may vote.    Members and guests are encouraged to attend this important meeting.  Member support is important in ensuring a strong future for the club.

Following the meeting, the CCBCC will participate in our 2nd British Car Clubs-Building Bright Futures fundraiser event for Habitat for Humanity.  

British Car Clubs – Building Bright Futures

The CCBCC is working with Habitat of Cape Cod and will hold a fundraiser following the Annual Meeting.

Our event will include:

• 11:30 – 12:30PM:  a cruise from the Iris Hotel Cape Cod, Falmouth through Woods Hole and shore road of Falmouth including a small parade and will finish at the Habitat RESTORE store, 805 Gifford Street Extension, Falmouth
• 12:30PM-3:00PM:  we will hold a car show w/lunch and fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod at the RESTORE store, 805 Gifford Street Extension, Falmouth.

At the car show, we will raise funds with Vote for Best Car, 50/50 Raffle, and possibly Raffle for a Ride.

Habitat Cape Cod is publicizing the event, so there should be a good public turnout.
