AUTUMN CRUISE on the Cape

The fall colors are here, the temperatures are cool and brisk – it’s time for a winding cruise along the western shore road of Cape Cod.

The CCBCC has done this tour for the last 3 years driving from Bourne to Woods Hole and parking at WCAI, Woods Hole. Unfortunately, WCAI has moved and the parking lot is no longer available.  So let’s do the tour in reverse and see the road from a different perspective.

Here’s the plan:  we all meet at Iris Cape Cod hotel in Falmouth, have an optional continental (or hot from the menu) breakfast in their dining room, then drive from Falmouth to Bourne  via Nobska Lighthouse, through Woods Hole, and then up back roads and the scenic shore road to the Lobster Trap, where we will stop for lunch.

We will drive together, there are no trivia questions, no checkpoints.  We will stop once or twice for photo opportunities.

Each car will have printed driving instructions, so you can stop more often if you want.

The intent is to enjoy the drive and scenery and the company.

Put Oct 25 on your calendar. At this time, the forecast looks good, but please check back for any weather  related event updates

Registration:   Registration is NOT required if you are only going to do the cruise and/ or lunch.

Breakfast Registration:  The Iris Hotel would like to know if you are going to have breakfast.  Please click the registration button if you think you will be coming for breakfast at the Iris Hotel. Please CLICK HERE TO REGISTER ONLY IF YOU ARE HAVING AUTUMN CRUISE BREAKFAST (Continental or Hot).  Please indicate how many people are coming.  Answer YES to the Activity question.

The cost of the continental breakfast is ~$15/person.  Please pay at the restaurant.

Event Details:

8:30 – 10:00 – optional continental or hot breakfast at Iris Hotel Cape Cod, Falmouth

10:15 – Driver / Navigator meeting at the Iris Hotel Cape Cod parking lot.

All cars will be given a set of driving instructions.

10:30 – Cruise starts

12:30 – arrive at Lobster Trap

12:30 – 2:00 – lunch
