The Marion Band has invited us and our cars to attend their annual British Concert, British Invasion, on Friday, Aug 1, 7:00-8:30pm. The concert will be held, weather permitting, at Island Wharf, across from the Marion Music Hall, 164 Front St, in Marion. Should be a wonderful evening of camaraderie and listening to great music under the stars.

4:30PM – possible dinner option, meet at BrewFish Bar & Eatery, 210 Spring Street, Rt 105, Marion.

6:00PM – meet in parking lot of BrewFish Bar & Eatery, 210 Spring Street, Rt 105, Marion, and then drive as a group to the concert area.

NOTE: Bring your own chairs, bring your own refreshments, bring your own food if you plan on a picnic.

CCBCC members/cars will need to arrive at the bandstand between 6:00- 6:15, and then we can park in front of the bandstand. The grassy area fills up quickly after that time. Use the first gate to access the grassy area. See two photos as reference.

UPDATES: the concert may be cancelled, postponed, or shortened if there is bad weather in the area. Please check the band’s Facebook page at the link below. If a concert is going to be cancelled, the decision will be made by 5:00PM that day. Based on your personal circumstances, you should check forecasts at home, in Marion and along your route before deciding whether to attend.
