The CCBCC has provided financial support to IH for over 20 years.
Independence House recently moved into a brand new building.
They would like to recognize the CCBCC for our 20 years of support by having an open house on July 11.
The morning includes a morning car show at the facility, a tour of the building, and then a cruise afterwards with a stop for lunch. There is no cost for this event.
IH will be providing coffee & pastries.

Thanks to everyone who posted here and/or registered on the website. WE HAVE 22 CARS signed up. That is a GREAT showing. I’ll be checking the parking lot capacity tomorrow – I think we do have some room for more. The forecast is looking good for Saturday, July 11, so don’t wait until the last minute to sign up. If you think you will be attending, please register now. We need a car count so we can arrange the parking lot. Thank You.

A very popular ride where we visit 4 local windmills in Mid and Lower Cape. Join us for a mid-week cruise through back roads as we visit windmills in Brewster, Eastham, Orleans, and Chatham.
Our guide, Roald, is a docent at the Godfrey Mill in Chatham and will give us an inside look at this mill. Following our visit to Godfrey Mill, we will then cruise to Kream N’ Kone, Chatham for lunch.

- Eastham Mill in Eastham.
- Young Mill in Orleans.
- Godfrey Mill in Chatham. The Godfrey Mill will be open, and docents will be on hand to give a tour.

The carbs were adjusted but that hasn’t solved the problem.
David has some new parts related to the ignition system.
Come on out and learn about carburetors and ignition systems.
The Tech Support Director has arranged for a general membership and TechSquad meeting at David’s garage to review the problem and resolve.
This Tech Session should provide insights into classic fuel systems, how a choke works, and carb setup.

Weather is going to be gorgeous. A $50 on-line donation gets you a day of fun and driving over 55 miles of backroads Online pre-registration is preferred so we can prepare enough Rallye packets for the participants.
If you are unable to pre-register and want to take part, please come on out to Patriot Square at 9:00AM and bring $50 cash. We do NOT have credit card capability. We do have a few extra Rallye packets, and if we run out, we will do our best to fit you in.
The Rallye Cape Cod is a great driving event as you tour through back roads of Cape Cod and test your driver/navigator teamwork skills. The Rallye consists of a 3 hour drive around Cape Cod scenic/back roads, stops at 3 local non-profit organizations, whimsical quiz questions, timed start/finish, prizes, lunch, and fun. The points do matter, but more importantly, you will be helping local technical students, local people in need, and local rescue animals.
ALL NEW EVENT:
- Brand new course – approx 52 miles, 2.5 hrs with 4 stops.
- Course goes through Dennis, Brewster, Harwich, and Yarmouth.
- New games & challenges.
- New format: event will be a team event; 2-3 cars per team.
- New date for our 5th CCBCC Rallye – later in the year to avoid the tourist traffic and the summer heat.
- New start time: 9:00AM registration open, 10:00 navigator & driver meeting, 10:30 start.
- The STARTING POINT is Patriot Square (in front of the Cinema), Dennis.
- Patriot Square can be accessed from Rt 6 at Exit 78 (old Exit 9), go south on Rt 134, turn LEFT at Traffic light.
- The FINISHING POINT is Kream ‘N Cone, 961 Main St, West Dennis (corner of Rt 28 & Rt 134)
- We will finish there, have lunch, and awards.

- Date: Sept 12th, Saturday. Rain date under consideration.
- 9:00AM – Registration will open at Patriot Square, Dennis (use Entertainment Cinemas, 2-6 Enterprise Rd, South Dennis, MA as GPS address).
- If you have not paid your $50 entry fee, please bring CASH (we will not have CC capability).
- Come early and get a coffee, breakfast at Dunkin, visit with fellow drivers/navigators, and get a head start on the Instructions. The navigators will appreciate the extra time.
- 10:00AM – Driver & Navigator meeting will be held at 10:00AM sharp. Instructions are critical.
- 10:30AM – Staggered start. Teams start apart in 1 min intervals.
- Lunch Site is Kream ‘N Done, 961 Main Street, West Dennis. They seem to be able to handle large groups.

- You will be responsible for payment for lunch. We are not collecting beforehand.

Background:
The Rallye Cape Cod is a CCBCC Signature Event that combines fun and fund-raising. It is a 2.5 hour, ~50 miles fun tour on back roads through Mid, Lower, Outer Cape incorporating scenery, rallye car decals & numbers, timed start & finish, travel quiz, BONUS point opportunities, trophies (Grand Champion, Finalist Champion, Safety Award), and lunch. The Rallye supports three local non-profit organizations: SkillsUSA MA at CC Regional Tech High School, Harwich, The Family Pantry in Harwich, and Animal Rescue League in Brewster. All three serve our community through their outreach to CTE students, our pets, and families in need. 100% of your $50 entry fee goes to these charities and additional personal donations are always welcome. For 2025, all three organizations have again agreed to provide volunteers and their parking lots as check points for our tour. During the tour, you will visit each of these charities. Details about the charities are on our Charities page. In 2023, we raised $3,300, and $4,500 in 2024. Who knows what we can do in 2025 ?
