=============================

British Car Registrants for Plymouth Car & Air Fair:
Thank you all for signing up to participate in the first Great British Car & Air Fair hosted by the Cape Cod Community College Aviation Maintenance Technology program. We have 32 cars and we’re hoping for a great public turnout. There will also be tours of the facility during the day.

TIME:
CCCC will start admitting the public to the show area at 10:00AM, so we would like all the cars to be in place by 9:45.
Registered Cars: Please arrive at the CCCC Aviation Center at 9:15 – 9:30AM so we can minimize any interactions between moving cars and pedestrians.
The show ends at 2:00PM.
Best In Show winner will be announced at 1:30PM.

DIRECTIONS TO CCCC AVIATION CENTER:
The Cape Cod Community College Aviation facility is at 246 South Meadow Road, Gate 6, Building S3, Plymouth, MA. 02360.
The CCCC-AMT campus is not at the airport’s main building – it’s across the field and requires entering through Gate 6,
Approaching the airport from I-495, Gate 6 will be the first gate on your right.
Approaching the airport from Route 3, you will pass the airport and Gates 1-4. There is no Gate 5. And Gate 6 is on your left after Gate 4.
Gate 6 is clearly marked from both directions.
There is a sign on the gate that says no admittance…ignore that. Once you enter the gate continue down the long, winding road until you can either take a sharp 90° turn to the left or go straight. MAKE THE 90° LEFT, which will have you facing a row of hangars. Then go right and drive along the hangars until you see the hangar marked Building 3 with the Cape Cod Community College blue awning.
Go pass the awning and proceed to the end of the hangars and turn left. (see picture below)
Go through an open gate and an event volunteer will direct you onto the Car Display Area.
Event volunteers will direct you to a parking spot.

FOOD:
There will be 3 food trucks available in the Car Display Area.

BEST IN SHOW
As you enter the Car Display Area, you will be given a numbered envelope with instructions for Best In Show. After reading the instructions, please put this envelope on your windshield. The public and yourself can buy tickets from the CCCC Educational Foundation table. Tickets cost 1 for $1, 10 for $5, and 25 for $10. People will put their tickets in the envelopes of the car(s) that they admire the most. You can vote for yourself or a friend for as many times as you like.
At 1:00PM, please count the number of tickets in your envelope and write the number on the outside of the envelope. The envelopes will be collected at 1:15. The winner will be announced at 1:30. Must be present to win. All monies go to the CCCC Educational Fund, a non-profit 501c3 organization.”

PLACARDS:
Please pick up placards for your car at the CCBCC table. The placard will give information about your car. If you already have an information placard, please display it.

ASK ME THIS QUESTION:
We want the public to ask questions about your car. To help get the conversation started, we are asking that you display a question you would like the public to ask you that sparks a personal discussion. It could be “ask me about my first ride?”, “ask me where I found this car”, “ask me about the grill badges”, “ask me about my latest adventure in this car”, etc. We will have a form for you to fill out and display.

See you tomorrow. Safe driving.

CCCC-AMT wants to engage/educate the community about the school with a focus on careers in Technology, particularly Aviation Maintenance.   The CCCCC-AMT has 11 airplanes they will show and will have students manning various stations to explain the school’s program.  The USCG may also attend.  Planning is underway and includes tours of the CCCC aviation facility, speakers, car show, food trucks, and a partner organization (the Cape Cod Educational Foundation – provide scholarship funding, financial assistance, etc.). The CCBCC and BMCNE have been asked to participate to provide an extra dimension – what’s better than planes and cars ?
